SARASOTA – Booker High School coach Scottie Littles has been suspended for three contests for using profanity during the Tornadoes’ Class 3A state semifinal loss at Jacksonville Raines in December. The three games will be served during the Tornadoes’ inaugural flag football season, which Littles also coaches.
According to an FHSAA report, before the kickoff between Raines and Booker on Dec. 6, the two teams entered the field and headed to their respective end zones. At one point, the Booker players and staff approached the Raines sideline and began yelling at the Mighty Viking players. According to the report, officials separated the two teams, with coaches yelling at each other.

Once order was restored, the head coaches, Littles and Raines’ Donovan Masline, were assessed unsportsmanlike conduct penalties for failing to control their teams. But during the third quarter of Raines’ eventual 28-23 victory, the Tornadoes were flagged for holding, prompting Littles to tell the official who issued the penalty that it was a “(expletive) call”. When he continued using profanity, Littles was assessed a second unsportsmanlike conduct penalty, ejected from the game, and ushered from the Booker sideline.

The suspension was for Littles’ next three contests as head coach. which will be with the Tornadoes’ flag program this spring, not tackle football. Booker is the only Sarasota County school offering flag football, a program that has been a year in the making.
