Ohio State football adding two collegiate veteran offensive line coaches

Ohio State football saw an exodus from its coaching staff immediately after winning the national championship. Jim Knowles, the team’s defensive coordinator, took off to Penn State while Chip Kelly decided to give the NFL another try and will be helping the Las Vegas Raiders.

As for the Buckeyes, they have filled those two positions and are continuing to build out their coaching staff for the 2025 season. Per Matt Zenitz, the team is adding Marcus Johnson and Charlie Dickey to their roster of talented minds.

Both men have long track records at the collegiate level with the former having been at a Big Ten program throughout his lengthy coaching career.

They will serve as senior analysts for the program, one that has historically been able to churn out quality linemen like Billy Price and Paris Johnson Jr., among the numerous former Ohio State linemen in the NFL.

Johnson most recently served at Purdue for two years and was at Missouri for three prior to that. He has been the offensive line coach at four different Division 1 programs since 2016.

As for Dickey, he has 30-plus years of experience under his belt and spent a decade at Kansas State before more recently joining the Oklahoma State Cowboys.
