Four-star safety recruit Tamarion Watkins has set official visits with three SEC teams: the South Carolina Gamecocks, Texas A&M Aggies, and the Georgia Bulldogs. Watkins will take all three visits in June. He is also scheduled to officially visit the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets, according to 247Sports.
Watkins is a four-star safety in the class of 2026. The 6-foot-3, 199-pound safety plays football at Northwestern High School at Rock Hill, South Carolina. Currently, 247Sports’ Hale McGranahan predicts that Watkins will commit to South Carolina, but the recruiting race is wide open for the elite safety’s talents.
Watkins also attended Georgia’s 2025 Junior Day, where he trained alongside Georgia commits Vance Spafford and Jontavius Wyman. Georgia recruiting targets Jae Lamar, Tyler Atkinson, and LaDamian Guyton also attended.
Georgia is looking to bolster their 2026 recruiting class, which consists of just Spafford, Wyman, tight end Lincoln Keyes, safety Zech Fort, and defensive lineman Seven Cloud. The Bulldogs are currently ranked 15th in the nation for their 2026 recruiting class, and with a new scouting director, they’ll no doubt be looking to bring together a top five recruiting class for the 10th year in a row.
Georgia football finished with the No. 2 signing class in the 2025 cycle, so we expect things to pick up in the class of 2026 soon.
