Five-star wide receiver Cederian Morgan has cut his list of schools from ten to six.
Just three weeks after trimming his list to 10 schools, the Alexander City product has listed Auburn along with Alabama, Clemson, Georgia, Colorado, and Florida are on the updated list of teams. Hayes Fawcett of On3 was one of the first to report the news. Per his X account (formerly Twitter), Morgan is scheduled for an official visit to Auburn on June 13-15.
The Benjamin Russell standout is listed as the top prospect from the state of Alabama for the 2026 class and ranked tenth overall nationally. For the 2024 season, Morgan caught 70 passes for 1,162 yards and 14 touchdowns. It was a down year for the Wildcats going 5-6 last season. Morgan will play for head coach Kirk Johnson during his senior year, who found success as the head coach of Montgomery Catholic.
247Sports currently has the Tigers ranked ninth nationally for the 2026 recruiting cycle, and if Morgan commits he will join Devin Carter at wide receiver. Carter is a four-star prospect from Douglasville, Georgia. He would also arrive on campus with Cam Coleman and Malcolm Simmons both as juniors to bolster the receiver position for the future.
In early February, Morgan had cut his list down to ten teams. The schools that were cut are Miami, Oregon, Ohio State, and Tennessee. Morgan is a multi-sport athlete also playing basketball and running track. During his sophomore season, he caught 36 passes for 622 yards and four touchdowns. Simmons was the top receiver for Benjamin Russell that season before signing with the Tigers. It will be an interesting recruitment with Auburn and Alabama being on his list.
