About two months after receiving an offer from the Colorado Buffaloes, coveted class of 2026 defensive lineman James “JJ” Johnson has now arranged a spring visit to Boulder.
On3’s Hayes Fawcett reported Monday that Johnson will check out the Buffs on March 15 — four days after the start of Colorado’s spring practice season. Johnson also has spring visits scheduled with the Miami Hurricanes, Syracuse Orange, USC Trojans and Florida Gators, per On3.
Hailing from North Fort Myers, Florida, Johnson is a four-star prospect listed at 6-foot-3 and 285 pounds. The 247Sports composite ranks Johnson as the No. 22 DL in his class and the No. 26 prospect in Florida.
According to On3, Johnson will take official visits this summer with Penn State, Syracuse, Miami, Florida and Georgia.
Colorado head coach and Fort Myers native Deion Sanders has yet to land a class of 2026 commitment.
