Michigan football has been on a slow burn when it comes to the 2026 recruiting class, but the Wolverines will certainly pick things up in the coming months. With a slew of targets announcing their spring and summer visits, the maize and blue commitment list is sure to grow beyond the two pledges that are currently in the class.
On Monday, On3 unveiled its updated 2026 recruiting rankings, and not only is one of Michigan’s two pledges one of the biggest risers, so are a handful of the Wolverines’ top targets.
The best news comes with current commit, cornerback Brody Jennings. Jennings moved up from No. 265 in the class all the way up to No. 130.
Three other targets also have made the list of biggest risers, though, too. Edge rusher Carter Meadows is one of the Wolverines’ top targets in the class and has moved from four-star status to No. 6 overall and is now a five-star. Offensive tackle Felix Ojo just set his summer visit to Ann Arbor, and though Michigan has a lot of work to do to get him into the class, he’s also now a five-star at No. 10 overall. Defensive lineman Luke Wafle — whose brother was a Wolverine before transferring to Penn State this offseason — went from unranked to five-star status at No. 19. It’s unclear how much his brother transferring out will hurt Michigan’s chances, though the younger Wafle was a frequent visitor to campus over the past year.
