Texas A&M will host standout 2026 4-star safety for an official visit this summer

This summer, Texas A&M head coach Mike Elko and his staff will host a growing list of 2026 prospects at every position, looking to make significant headway before the 2025 season. So far, the Aggies have landed nine commitments in the cycle, led by four-star wide receiver Aaron Gregory, who remains firmly committed amid nearly every blue-blood program in the country attempting to flip him.

Throughout this month, I’ve extensively covered Elko’s recognized development experience with safeties and cornerbacks on a national level. Notably, almost every starting and backup cornerback is set to return in 2025, and former Georgia cornerback Julian Humphrey joined the program last December.

Looking to add the next star in the secondary, the Aggies have targeted standout four-star safety Tylan Wilson, who announced his visit plans this summer. According to Rivals recruiting insider Adam Gorney, Wilson will take an official visit to College Station on June 12-14 after visiting Arkansas and Clemson.

Another Mississippi recruiting target, Wilson’s 6-3 172-pound frame comes into play on every snap, possessing the quickness to cover the deep pass. At the same time, his instincts and elite pursuit speed have resulted in multiple highlight tackles for loss.

Rangy and confident, Wilson looks like a perfect fit in Elko’s defense scheme that relies on steady safety play.

According to Rivals, Tylan Wilson is currently positioned as the 177th-ranked prospect in the cycle, the 12th-ranked safety prospect, and the 12th-ranked prospect in Mississippi.
