Memphis football’s full 2025 schedule is now set.

The Tigers know exactly what they’ll have to do to get to the AAC title game for the first time. Though Memphis was picked to win the AAC ahead of the 2024 season, the Tigers finished fourth in the conference and went 11-2.

While the 2024 season felt like the culmination of a senior class that included record-setting quarterback Seth Henigan, the 2025 season feels like a new era. The Tigers will have a quarterback competition for the first time since 2021, and they also lost program stalwarts like receiver Roc Taylor and linebacker Chandler Martin.

That turnover will dominate offseason storylines ahead of the season opener against Chattanooga on Aug. 30. The Tigers will host a marquee non-conference game against Arkansas and also will head on the road twice before conference play kicks off.

Unlike last year, when the Tigers’ key games all took place on the road, there will be plenty on the line at Simmons Bank Liberty Stadium. Here are Memphis’ five most important games in 2025.

Aug. 30: vs. Chattanooga

With all due respect to the Mocs, this game isn’t on this list because of Memphis’ opponent. Chattanooga, an FCS team, will be a heavy underdog in this game. But this is the most significant date on the calendar for Memphis’ quarterback competition. Will coach Ryan Silverfield name a starter before this game, or will he use it to test multiple players?

This will be the first opportunity for fans to see the new-look roster in action in a real game, and it’ll also be the first glimpse of what Memphis’ present and future looks like at the game’s most important position. It deserves a spot on this list.

Sept. 20: vs. Arkansas
