Signing Day: Three Rutherford football players sign to collegiate programs

Signing day is one of the best times of the year and Rutherford is the latest school to host athletes making their dream a reality. Three football players signed to continue their academic and athletic careers at the collegiate level.

Roman Holmes, Lighthouse Christian College

Holmes was the Rams’ running back No. 1 this past football season, rushing for 471 yards and six touchdowns.

Chazton Scott, Maine Maritime Academy

Scott was the second-leading tackler for the Rams defense totaling 57 tackles, three sacks and an interception.

Logan Licona, Maine Maritime Academy

Licona was the anchor of the Rutherford offensive line at the center position. The senior spearheaded the front, totaling 1,438 rushing yards and a 1,000-yard passer.
