Elite, MSU football recruiting target sets commitment date

An elite linebacker prospect that’s considering Michigan State has set his commitment date.

Four-star linebacker Nick Abrams II of Owings Mills, Md. will make his official college announcement over the summer, according to Rivals national recruiting analyst Ryan O’Bleness. Abrams will make his announcement on July 16.

Michigan State is one of 10 schools still in the running for Abrams commitment. He is also still considering Michigan, Alabama, Duke, Oregon, Penn State, USC, Georgia, Texas A&M and Vanderbilt. Abrams holds offers from 30 schools, according to 247Sports.

Abrams is listed as a four-star prospect and holds a rating of 90 on 247Sports. He plays for McDonogh School and is considered a major target for the Spartans.

Abrams ranks as the No. 15 linebacker in 247Sports’ composite rankings for the 2026 class. He is also listed as the No. 210 overall prospect and No. 6 player from Maryland in the class.
