The Auburn Tigers are looking to add to their 2026 recruiting class by bolstering their running back room. On Thursday, Hayes Fawcett of On3 reported that 2026 four-star running back Ezavier Crowell had reduced his school list to six, one of those teams is the Auburn Tigers. Along with Auburn, Crowell is considering Alabama, Florida State, Georgia, Ohio State, and Texas. Crowell could potentially join a running back room that features 2025 signees Alvin Henderson (Elba) and Omar Mabson (Auburn High).
Crowell helped lead the Jackson High School Aggies to their third state championship. For the 2024 season, he rushed for 1,964 yards and 31 touchdowns. According to 247Sports composite, he is ranked as the number two running back in the nation, and the third best player in Alabama for the 2026 cycle.
Crowell had a big playoff season for the Aggies. In the five games, Crowell rushed for 683 yards and three touchdowns. In the AHSAA Class 4A Championship Game, he rushed for 140 yards and three touchdowns in the 69-6 win over Cherokee County. In an earlier round against Tallassee, he scored four touchdowns and rushed for 196 yards. His biggest game of the season occurred in a matchup with Baker where he rushed for 250 yards and one touchdown against one of the better teams in the Mobile area. In 2023, Crowell rushed for 1,737 yards and 25 touchdowns.
If he chooses Auburn, the Tigers will have a future running back room with plenty of potential.
