Oklahoma Sooners projected to land dynamic in-state athlete

The Oklahoma Sooners hosted a number of prospects from the next several recruiting classes in Norman over the weekend and their efforts are already paying dividends. The Oklahoma Sooners earned a prediction to land in-state three-star athlete Evenson Malaska out of Bethany.

Sam Spiegelman of Rivals issued a FutureCast predicting Malaska to commit to the Sooners. Evenson is the younger brother of Oklahoma cornerback Jocelyn Malaska to commit to the Sooners.

The younger Malaska is a dynamic athlete who stars on both sides of the ball for Bethany. He shows good instincts at cornerback and does a great job of shedding blocks and playing with physicality in the run game. He’s capable of locking down wide receivers in man coverage.

On the offensive side of the ball, just get Malaska the ball. He’s a patient runner, lets his blocks develop, but also displays the lateral agility and quickness to make defenders miss and create extra yards in the open field.

Malaska is an unrated prospect in the recruiting world, but his talent is evident. The Oklahoma Sooners certainly like what they see in the Bethany prospect. He could help Oklahoma in all three phases of the game. The Sooners had Malaska on campus for the Future Freaks weekend.
