Clemson’s recruiting momentum continues as four-star safety Kaden Gebhardt has announced his commitment to the Tigers. The Olentangy (Ohio) standout picked Clemson over Penn State after picking up an offer in January and returning for the Elite Retreat last weekend.
Gebhardt, a 6-foot-2, 195-pound defensive back, is ranked No. 215 overall in the 2026 class, the No. 17 safety nationally, and the eighth-best player in Ohio, according to 247Sports Composite Rankings. He had over two dozen offers from major programs, including Ohio State, Oklahoma, USC, and Wisconsin, but ultimately decided to shut down his recruitment in favor of Clemson.
His addition marks the seventh commitment the Tigers have landed since Friday, as head coach Dabo Swinney and his staff continue to build an elite class. With Gebhardt in the fold, Clemson now has 11 verbal pledges, positioning them inside the Top 5 in the 247Sports Composite Team Rankings.
Gebhardt joins a strong group of recent Clemson commits, further solidifying the Tigers’ secondary depth for the future. His decision is another win for Clemson’s recruiting efforts, especially as the program continues to pull top talent from outside its traditional recruiting footprint.
