Matt Rhule announces several key players to miss the spring practice period

Nebraska football head coach Matt Rhule held a press conference on Tuesday morning, and mentioned players that will be out for the spring practice period.

Some of the more notable names included kicker Tristan Alvano, wide receiver Demetrius Bell, and offensive tackle Turner Corcoran. Other players, such as offensive lineman Henry Lutovsky and defensive lineman Sua Lefotu, are limited to start spring practice.

Freshman linebackers Pierce Mooberry and Dawson Merritt will also be unavailable for spring. Nevertheless, those two figures will be key pieces of the linebacker group in the future.

This could lead to opportunities for others to step up and make an impact during the spring. As for now, the focus is getting everyone healthy, with preseason camp right around the corner.
