The college football world was blown away by EA’s re-introduction of the college football video game when it released College Football 25 last summer. This year’s edition of the game will be released this summer, and fans got some intriguing news surrounding the game Wednesday evening.
College football fans and video game heads were hyped when a leaked cover photo of EA Sports College Football 26 spread through social media. The leaked image of the video game’s deluxe edition features many players and coaches standing in the bleachers at what appears to be the Rose Bowl.
Coaches included in EA Sports College Football 26
The most significant development we can take away from the image is that real-life coaches look to be a part of the game’s new edition. Penn State’s James Franklin looks to be one of the coaches with his likeness in the game.
Penn State football fans would likely be able to use Franklin in their dynasty playthroughs if they wanted to act as the Nittany Lions head coach. Other coaches who appear to be on the cover are Georgia’s Kirby Smart, Ole Miss’ Lane Kiffin, Oregon’s Dan Lanning, Ohio State’s Ryan Day and Arizona State’s Kenny Dillingham. On3’s Pete Nakos reports that those five coaches, in addition to Franklin, were in attendance for a coaches’ cover.
EA Sports has not confirmed that coaches will appear in the game, but recent reporting and the leaked cover photo suggest it looks promising.
