Five-star QB Jared Curtis plans one more Georgia football visit

Five-star quarterback Jared Curtis has set May 5 as his commitment date. He will be choosing between Georgia and Oregon. Following recent visits to both programs, Rivals reporter Sam Spiegelman reports that he plans to revisit each school before making his final decision.

The 6-foot-4, 225-pound quarterback plays football for Nashville Christian School in Nashville, Tennessee. The 247Sports Composite ranks Curtis as the No. 2 recruit in the country, the No. 1 quarterback and the No. 1 prospect in Tennessee in the class of 2026.

Georgia’s long-standing pursuit of Curtis is complicated by Oregon’s strong push. Curtis, a top priority for the Bulldogs, has a history with Georgia but has also built a significant connection with Oregon’s coaching staff, making his decision challenging.

Head coach Kirby Smart and Georgia have not signed a five-star quarterback since adding Justin Fields in class of 2018. Fields transferred to Ohio State after his freshman season.

An opportunity to get a quarterback like Curtis is a key recruiting moment for Georgia. Curtis’ level of arm talent has not been in the UGA quarterback room since Georgia great Matthew Stafford.
