Where does the Crimson Tide rank in Week 8 polls?

Alabama softball moved up two spots in national polls following its first conference series win against Georgia.

The Crimson Tide moved from No. 25 to No. 23 in the ESPN.com/USA Softball Collegiate Top 25 Poll that was released on Tuesday.

Alabama (25-13, 4-5 SEC) dropped its series opener to Georgia, 4-3, before winning the next two games 5-4 and 8-5 and taking the series, 2-1. It was Alabama’s first SEC series win of the season, having dropped its series to Texas A&M and MIssissippi State.

Alabama is one of 12 SEC teams ranked in the poll, alongside Texas (1), Florida (2), Oklahoma (3), Texas A&M (4), Tennessee (6), LSU (7), South Carolina (9), Arkansas (13), Mississippi State (15), Georgia (16) and Ole Miss (20).

Alabama softball has midweek contests against Alabama State and Samford on Tuesday night at Rhoads Stadium. The Crimson Tide travel to Baton Rouge, Louisiana this weekend for a three-game slate with LSU, April 4-6, at Tiger Park.
