Oklahoma State football adds Carter Langenderfer to 2026 class

STILLWATER — The new Oklahoma State coaching staff is showing its capable of quickly building connections within the state.

Owasso’s Carter Langenderfer, a 6-foot-2, 190-pound safety, announced his commitment to the Cowboys on Sunday night, becoming the fourth in-state prospect to choose OSU in the 2026 recruiting class.

Langenderfer posted the news on his X account, joining Tulsa-area prospects Aiden Martin of Berryhill, Trey McGlothlin of Bixby and Kaydin Jones of Jenks in the OSU class.

Langenderfer is rated No. 23 on The Oklahoman’s Super 30 recruit rankings for the 2026 class. He had 66 tackles and an interception with 10 passes defended in his junior season.

His offer list was quite varied, with OSU and Iowa State from the Big 12, but also two service academies, Air Force and Army, along with a pair of Ivy League opportunities from Yale and Dartmouth.

OSU now has six commitments in its 2026 class with four on defense.
