Germie Bernard shares bold claim about Alabama football wide receiver room

As A-Day nears, Germie Bernard knows what Alabama football has in its wide receiver room.

Joined by players like Ryan Williams and Miami transfer Isaiah Horton, Bernard didn’t shy away from making bold claims about the Crimson Tide’s receiving corps heading into the 2025 season.

When asked if Alabama could have the best wide receiver room in college football, Bernard’s answer was short and to the point.

“No doubt,” Bernard said “Most definitely. “

It’s a room, that has everything, all the attributes an offense could want. It’s a room filled with receivers who can do “everything.”

“We got a lot of speed, we got a lot of strength,” Bernard said. “We got guys that can block, we got guys that can make contested catches. We got guys that are tough. We got guys that can get open.”

In a recent interview with the Crimson Tide Sports Network, Horton said the Alabama wide receiver room is “going to be special,” something that is apparent to its members, whether its Bernard and Williams, Rico Scott and Cole Adams, or true freshmen Lotzeir Brooks and Derek Meadows.

But Bernard wasn’t one to name names.

When asked who comes to mind when he thinks about the “best receiving room in college football,” one he calls “explosive, very explosive,” the veteran leaned into the microphone and uttered one word.

“Everyone,” Bernard said.

Alabama will end its spring practice slate at noon Saturday with its annual A-Day spring game at Bryant-Denny Stadium.
