QB Jackson Arnold not dressed out for A-Day practice

Auburn football coach Hugh Freeze discusses QB transfer Jackson Arnold

Auburn football coach Hugh Freeze discusses Oklahoma QB transfer Jackson Arnold on Tuesday, March 25, at the Woltosz Football Performance Center in Auburn.

AUBURN — One of the most anticipated debuts on Auburn football’s roster looks unlikely to happen at A-Day.

Quarterback Jackson Arnold, who transferred to the Tigers this offseason after two seasons at Oklahoma, was seen in street clothes ahead of the program’s A-Day spring practice Saturday. He wasn’t a participant in any pre-practice drills.

Nathan King of 247Sports reported Saturday morning that Arnold would be sidelined for the day’s events. A program spokesperson wasn’t able to provide comment on Arnold’s status to the Montgomery Advertiser.

At Thursday’s team practice, Arnold left after appearing to tweak his left hamstring on a scramble.

In two seasons with Oklahoma, Arnold completed 62.9% of his passes for 1,984 yards. He threw 16 touchdowns to six interceptions and added another 560 yards and four touchdowns on the ground. He also caught two passes for 16 yards and a touchdown.
