Over the last month, USA TODAY High School Sports has looked at some of the best football prospects from the country’s recruiting hotbeds.
The series started with the best 2026 recruits out of Texas before heading to Florida, west to California, and east to Georgia.
This time, we’ll head just a bit west of Georgia. Here are the top 2026 recruits to keep an eye on from Alabama.
Cederian Morgan
School: Benjamin Russell (Alexander City)
Position: Wide Receiver
Commitment: Uncommitted
Summary: Morgan led the Wildcats’ receiving corp last season, catching 70 passes for 1,162 yards and 14 touchdowns.
The 6-foot-4, 210-pounder is a lean towards Auburn, but several SEC programs have remained active in his recruitment. He has official visits lined up to Colorado (May 9), Georgia (May 16), Clemson (May 30), Florida (June 6), Auburn (June 13) and Alabama (June 20).
Anthony Jones
School: St. Paul’s Episcopal (Mobile)
Position: EDGE
Commitment: Uncommitted
Summary: Standing at 6-foot-3.5 and 240 pounds, Jones already looks like he terrorizes opposing SEC offenses.
A top-50 recruit nationally, Jones hasn’t named any official visits yet but has completed unofficial visits to Oregon (April 4) and Auburn (April 12).
Landon Duckworth
School: Jackson
Position: Quarterback
Commitment: Uncommitted
Summary: Duckworth, a former South Carolina pledge, decommitted from the Gamecocks last June. Ole Miss quickly became the favorite after a few visits, but Duckworth remains undecided.
One of the nation’s top quarterback recruits, Duckworth, is narrowing in on a decision that could come following his official visits. He has trips scheduled to Georgia (May 30), South Carolina (June 6), Florida State (June 13), and Ole Miss (June 20).
Zyan Gibson
School: Gadsden City (Gadsden)
Position: Cornerback
Commitment: Alabama
