Inlet Grove hires Remington Young as next head football coach

West Boca celebrates winning the Class 6A state championship

West Boca has completed its program turnaround, finishing 2024 with an undefeated season to bring Palm Beach County its first title in 10 years.

Inlet Grove has found the next leader for its football program.

Remington Young, who coached Oxbridge Academy flag football from 2019 to 2024, has been hired to lead the Hurricanes football program for the 2025-2026 season.

Young brings 10 years of coaching experience in Palm Beach County, including time spent at Wellington, Berean Christian, and Jupiter Christian. In his current role, Young has built Oxbridge Academy flag football into an annual postseason contender.

He announced several hires to his coaching staff via social media, including Matt Simpson as defensive coordinator, Landon Davis as offensive line coach and Brent Bargerstock as passing game coordinator.

I was blessed to be given this opportunity as it’s a dream,” Young said. “I believe I can bring some swag to the team and improve athletes off the field first and on the field second. I hope to bring a family mindset where kids will stay four years and not transfer.”

Inlet Grove finished the 2024 season with a 5-5 record under previous head coach Rashad Jackson. He finished 15-14 overall in three seasons.
