STILLWATER — The Oklahoma State spring game turned out to be productive for more than just the players on the field.
The Cowboys also added a transfer portal commitment on Saturday afternoon in former Tulsa Union star and Vanderbilt defensive lineman De’Marion Thomas.
A 6-foot-2, 334-pound Thomas started all 13 games for Vanderbilt as a true sophomore last fall, finishing with 34 tackles.
Thomas is the second Oklahoma high school product to commit to the Cowboys out of the transfer portal from an out-of-state school in the last two days. He follows Colorado edge rusher Taje McCoy, a Putnam City High School product who committed Friday night.
Thomas was ranked No. 8 on The Oklahoman’s Super 30 as a senior at Union in the 2023 class.
The Cowboys have now added three defensive line transfers from Power 4 programs in the last three days.
