A North Dakota State running back in the transfer portal will visit the Nebraska Cornhuskers later this week. CharMar Brown will take a trip to Lincoln on Thursday.
In 16 games last season, Brown ran for 1,181 yards and 15 touchdowns for an average of 4.8 yards per carry. In the NCAA Division 1 Football Championship Game against Montana State, he had 17 carries for 77 yards and one touchdown in the Bisons’ 35-32 victory.
Brown would win the Jerry Rice Award as the top freshman football player in the Football Championship Division. He led all FCS freshmen in rushing attempts, yards, and touchdowns. The Omaha native was the first Bison running back in seven years to pass the 1,000-yard mark.
He was a 2023 graduate of Creighton Prep High School. During his senior year, he ran for 1,408 yards and 17 touchdowns. Brown only had MAC and FCS offers before signing with North Dakota State. He is also expected to visit the Miami Hurricanes on Monday afternoon.
