LSU Tigers climb after chaotic weekend

It was a chaotic weekend of baseball in the SEC. No. 1 Texas stayed hot with a sweep of No. 8 Auburn. The Longhorns capped the series off with a 14-2 win on Saturday.

That wasn’t the only sweep of the weekend. In a surprise, No. 19 Vanderbilt swept No. 5 Georgia. It was the Commodores’ fifth straight, and Vandy looks poised to compete at the top of the conference.

That wasn’t the biggest upset, though. In Knoxville, we saw unranked Kentucky take a series from No. 4 Tennessee.

As for LSU, the Tigers took two of three from Alabama. LSU missed a chance at a sweep, dropping game three on Saturday. The Tigers and Vols are set for a big series in Baton Rouge this weekend.

At the bottom of the conference, we still have Missouri winless at 0-18. The Tigers weren’t competitve in a three-game set with Oklahoma.
