Indiana football lands commitment from Maryland transfer linebacker Kellan Wyatt

BLOOMINGTON — Indiana football landed a verbal commitment from Maryland linebacker Kellan Wyatt on Tuesday afternoon, according to multiple reports.

Wyatt entered the transfer with the Terps in the midst of spring practice. He led the team with 7.5 tackles for loss last season.

He was a former 3-star prospect out of Archbishop Spalding, a well-respected school outside of Baltimore, in the 2022 signing class with other offers from Syracuse, Liberty and UMass. He emerged as an immediate contributor for the Terps as a true freshman.

He’s been relatively productive during that stretch with 7.5 sacks, 14 tackles for loss and 36 quarterback pressures for a Terps team that never had a singular dominant pass rusher. They had eight defenders finish the season with 10 or more…
