The transfer portal is running rampart throughout college football, with players from all over the nation deciding to enter into the NCAA transfer portal. The Spartans have been affected once again. James Schott, a defensive end prospect from Greenwood, Indiana, has made the decision to leave the Spartans program after three seasons.
A 6-foot-4, 245 pound edge, Schott was in line to potentially see more playing time in the 2025 campaign. During his time in East Lansing, Schott appeared in 19 games and recorded 5 tackles.
Schott was a member of the 2022 recruiting class when the Spartans flipped his commitment from Miami (OH).
