NORMAN — OU added a defensive tackle in the transfer portal Tuesday.
Siolaa Ricky Lolohea, who redshirted at Oklahoma State in 2023 before transferring to Utah State last year, announced his commitment to the Sooners on X (formerly Twitter).
Sooners’ inside linebackers coach Nate Dreiling was the Aggies’ defensive coordinator and interim head coach last season before joining Brent Venables’ staff in Norman.
Lolohea did not appear in any games for the Cowboys but played in eight games for the Aggies, with 10 tackles (six solo) and one for loss).
Lolohea is a Euless (Texas) Trinity product and was a three-star prospect out of high school when he signed with the Cowboys.
Lolohea is the first defensive addition out of the portal in the spring window for the Sooners, though defensive lineman David Stone announced Sunday he would withdraw his name from the portal after initially deciding to enter it.
