Joey McGuire recaps Texas Tech football spring game
Mitch Griffis threw 2 touchdown passes, and Quinten Joyner and Cameron Dickey ran for TDs in Texas Tech football spring game.
The Texas Tech football team added to its offensive line through the spring transfer portal.
Multiple outlets reported Thursday former Colorado center Cash Cleveland has committed to the Red Raiders, citing Cleveland himself and his representation as the sources of the information. Cleveland has also reposted these reports on his personal social media account.
Cleveland was named a freshman All-American by 247Sports, On3 and Pro Football Focus after playing in six games with four starts as a true-freshman walk-on last season with the Buffaloes. He was a three-star recruit (On3) coming out of IMG Academy.
During his freshman year at Colorado, Cleveland was credited with 296 snaps and 234 pass blocking snaps, allowing just one sack, one quarterback hit and two hurries playing for Deion Sanders. He became Colorado’s first true freshman walk-on to start a game at center when he made his first career start against Utah.
Texas Tech has lost four offensive lineman to the portal in the spring window who were expected to be backups in the 2025 season. The Red Raiders return last year’s starting center Sheridan Wilson as well.
Cleveland, a Rockwall native listed at 6-foot-3, 290 pounds, has three years of eligibility remaining.
