Mason Taylor could hear his name called during Thursday’s 2025 NFL Draft in Green Bay, WI. After three seasons with LSU football, he will join a long list of professional tight ends developed by head coach Brian Kelly.
The six-foot-five, 255-pounder made an immediate impact for the Tigers. He started 13 games as a rookie and scored three touchdowns, joining forces with Heisman Trophy-winning quarterback Jayden Daniels then first-year starter Garrett Nussmeier. Hailing from Plantation, FL, Taylor committed to LSU as part of the 2022 class. As a three-star prospect, according to On3’s Industry Rankings, he ranked as the No. 36 tight end and No. 86 out of Florida.
Taylor fielded offers from many Power Five programs, including four SEC schools. Ultimately, he chose the Tigers and solidified himself as one of the greats developed under Kelly.
