One transfer tight end was not enough for Alabama football. The Crimson Tide added another.
Brody Dalton, a former UAB and Troy tight end, told On3 he would join the Crimson Tide for his final season of collegiate eligibility.
A Fyffe, Alabama, native, Dalton has 24 catches for 339 yards and three touchdowns across 32 games with the Blazers and the Trojans.
In 2024, Dalton had 15 receptions for 188 receiving yards for Troy. He was only one of three members of the Trojans offense with multiple touchdown receptions.
According to Pro Football Focus, Dalton spent 378 of his 548 snaps as an inline tight end in 2024, along with 104 snaps in the backfield.

The Crimson Tide added West Virginia tight end Jack Sammarco April 23, who has three seasons of eligibility remaining.
Alabama was without Josh Cuevas, Danny Lewis and Marshall Pritchett for the majority of spring practice. Kaleb Edwards, a true freshman, will join the team after graduating high school.
Jay Lindsey was the only scholarship tight end available for Alabama at the end of spring joined by preferred walk-ons Jayden Hobson and Peter Knudson.
