NFL Draft Studs and Sleepers: Tyler Warren, other tight end prospects

He was not the first tight end taken in the 2025 NFL Draft, but Tyler Warren has a new home after being taken No. 14 overall by the Indianapolis Colts
The do-it-all offensive weapon out of Penn State was the presumptive top player at his position in this class, but went after Colston Loveland of Michigan. Loveland was taken 10th overall by the Chicago Bears.
Here’s three things to know about the Colts’ newest offensive weapon:
Tyler Warren: Breakout senior campaign
Heading into his final season in Happy Valley, Warren only had 49 receptions through his first 38 games.
That changed drastically his senior year, with the 6-foot-6 tight end becoming the top receiving option for Penn State, as he recorded 104 receptions for 1,233 yards and eight touchdowns.
Warren finished tied for the second-most receptions in Division I and was seventh in all of college football in receiving yards.
Tyler Warren: Historic performance against USC
The must-see game from Warren was no doubt on Oct. 12 against USC. He dominated the Trojans all afternoon long at Long Angeles Memorial Coliseum, going for a jaw-dropping 17 receptions and 224 receiving yards, easily career-highs in both categories in Penn State’s 33-30 overtime victory over USC.
On the historic 17-catch day, Warren tied the FBS single-game record for a tight end and accounted for 43 percent of the Nittany Lions total yards on offense.
Tyler Warren: Award winner in 2024
Given his dominant senior season, it should be no surprise that Warren was named a First-team All-American and First-team All-Big Ten, as well as the Big Ten Tight End of the Year.
