This past weekend, the Alabama Crimson Tide had one of their more impressive showings yet in SEC play, sweeping the Missouri Tigers inside of Sewell-Thomas Stadium.
A home series for the Crimson Tide, Alabama saw success against the Tigers in Tuscaloosa, with no result greater however than a 12-1 seven inning victory in Game 3. The closest contest between the two teams was also during Game 1 where the Crimson Tide fell behind 5-0 early, but erased the deficit to win 7-5.
With the sweep over Missouri, Alabama’s record in SEC play improved to 12-9 against conference opponents, as well as 35-10 overall, ahead of a road series at Vanderbilt later this week.
