2026 5-star CB Brandon Arrington has announed his commitment date

Texas A&M coach Mike Elko and OC Collin Klein are focused on adding elite and versatile athletes to the program’s growing 2026 recruiting class, starting with five-star OL/DL Lamar Brown, and followed by five-star athlete Brandon Arrington, who may as well be Elko’s No. 1 target in the cycle since this time last year.

Since Arrington began releasing his top program lists, Texas A&M has been a consistent presence, while Alabama, USC, Oregon, and Penn State have been right behind the Aggies, becoming the schools that represent his final five program list ahead of his commitment on July 5. For one of the five lucky programs that will earn his pledge this summer, the time is now to make the final pitches, including official visits over the next two months.

Like Lamar Brown, the Aggies will host the Louisiana-based prospect for an official visit on July 13, while Arrington will make his way to College Station for his OV on July 5-7 before heading back to California to visit the Trojans.

During his 2023 sophomore season, Arrington recorded 310 receiving yards, four touchdowns on offense, 25 tackles on defense, and a punt return touchdown on special teams. Arrington’s collegiate position future is still unknown, but the Aggies see him as a cornerback at this stage. However, like Texas A&M sophomore wide receiver Terry Bussey, it would be up to Elko to put Arrington on the right positional path if he chooses the Aggies.

According to On3, Arrington is currently the 13th-ranked prospect in the 2026 cycle, the No. 1-ranked cornerback, and the second-ranked prospect in California.
