Three former Arizona State football players may not have gotten drafted, but that doesn’t mean their NFL dream is dead. Offensive lineman Emmit Bohle, wide receiver Melquan Stovall and linebacker Caleb McCullough have landed minicamp invites.
Stovall is headed to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Bohle to the Chicago Bears and McCullough to the Cincinnati Bengals.
McCullough was one of the most improved players on the roster last year, going from a role player to a starter. He recorded 76 tackles, which was third on the team. He also had eight tackles for a loss, one sack and two interceptions. He was named Big 12 Defensive Player of the Week for his performance against Utah, in which he had a career-high 12 tackles and two interceptions.
Stovall, who played in Tempe for two seasons, had 24 catches for 287 yards last season. He was also used on special teams as the primary punt returner with nine returns for 109 yards. He also had one kickoff return for 17 yards.
Bohle, an offensive tackle, spent three years as a Sun Devil. He was granted a seventh year of college football after missing the 2023 campaign with a broken leg sustained in the second game of the season against Oklahoma State.
Three other ASU players found spots earlier. Running back Cam Skattebo was the lone player drafted, being selected in the fourth round by the New York Giants.
Center Leif Fautanu and wide receiver Xavier Guillory signed as undrafted free agents, Fautanu with the Detroit Lions and Guillory with the Baltimore Ravens.
