The Colorado State football team has added size and experience to the receiver room.
Former Georgia State receiver Petey Tucker announced May 1 on X his intention to transfer to the Rams.
Tucker is a 6-foot-2, 195-pound native of Maryland who played 2024 at Georgia State. Tucker had 27 catches for 298 yards last season, with a top game of five catches for 64 yards.
Prior to Georgia State, Tucker spent two seasons at Lackawanna College, where he had 33 catches for 467 yards and eight touchdowns as a sophomore in 2023. He had 309 yards and three touchdowns as a freshman.
Tucker adds depth to a receiver room going through a lot of change. Star Tory Horton is off to the NFL, while Caleb Goodie and Jamari Person transferred after the 2024 season. Dylan Goffney transferred during spring practices. Also, Armani Winfield and Kojo Antwi missed spring with injuries.
At the end of spring practices, CSU coach Jay Norvell mentioned receiver as a position the Rams would likely look to add depth via the transfer portal.
