No. 1 quarterback recruit Jared Curtis announces commitment decision

Jared Curtis, the No. 1 quarterback of the 2026 recruiting class, has committed to the Georgia Bulldogs once again. He chose the Bulldogs over the Oregon Ducks.

Curtis is a five-star quarterback from the class of 2026. The 6-foot-3, 225-pound quarterback plays high school football and basketball for Nashville Christian School in Nashville, Tennessee. Through three years in high schools, he threw for 7,637 yards and 92 touchdowns to 20 interceptions in 744 passing attempts.

He also shows great scramble ability, with 1,661 yards and 38 touchdowns rushing on 249 rushing attempts.

With this recruiting win, Georgia’s recruiting class is now ranked No. 16 in the country. Curtis is Georgia’s highest ranked commitment. Curtis is the first five-star to commit to Georgia in the 2026 class, but the Bulldogs still have three four-stars (Vance Spafford, Lincoln Keyes, Zech Fort) and four three-stars (Graham Houston, Brady Marchese, Seven Cloud, Kealan Jones).

Regardless, it’s a huge win for the Georgia Bulldogs. Their current quarterback room will be headlined by Gunner Stockton as the probable starter, along with Ryan Puglisi, Ryan Montgomery, and Hezekiah Millender as backups. However, Georgia answers a big question about the future quarterback play with this move.

The Bulldogs are chasing five-star offensive tackle Jackson Cantwell, who is set to commit on May 13, 2025, but with Curtis, the Bulldogs get the No. 1 quarterback and No. 2 prospect in the nation. Curtis is also the top ranked recruit in Tennessee.
