Notre Dame football offers Larry Fitzgerald’s son Devin a scholarship

The trend of Notre Dame football going after former NFL players son’s continued on Thursday afternoon, with an offer to 2026 wide receiver Devin Fitzgerald, son of future Hall of Famer Larry Fitzgerald.

The older Fitzgerald is a big fan of the program, as he had spoken with the team prior to the 2022 season. Devin is just an inch shorter than his dad at 6-foot, 2-inches and 195-pounds, and now holds over 30 offers from programs across the country.

Ranked as the No. 467 overall prospect in the country by the 247Sports Composite, Devin is a solid player with a ton of upside. The Irish will have to play some catch-up in his recruitment, as it looks like UCLA is in the drivers seat at the moment.

There is no doubt in my mind that the Irish entering Fitzgerald’s recruitment is a big moment, as Larry see’s head coach Marcus Freeman as one of the top program leaders in the country. This could lead Devin to South Bend in the near future.
