Top 2026 in-state recruit Cederian Morgan to reveal his choice in July

Auburn will look to secure the top in-state recruit for the second time in three cycles in July.

Auburn football will look to sign the state of Alabama’s top recruit for the second time in three cycles when five-star wide receiver Cederian Morgan announces his commitment this Summer.

Morgan, a five-star wide receiver from Benjamin Russell High School in Alexander City, Alabama, shared with Hayes Fawcett of On3 that he will announce his commitment on July 2 and that the Tigers are in the mix. Auburn will battle Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Clemson, and Colorado for his signature, with just under two months to win him over. If Auburn lands Morgan, it will be the second time in the Hugh Freeze era that the program has landed the state’s No. 1 recruit, joining Cam Coleman from the 2024 recruiting cycle.

Auburn has been at the forefront of Morgan’s recruitment since last season as recruiting experts from 247Sports and On3 have logged predictions that favor Auburn dating back to last July. Auburn remains the favorite according to 247Sports’ crystal ball, with two predictions working in their favor. However, On3 gives Alabama the 89.4% nod to sign him.

It will come down to official visits and which program makes the best impression. Morgan will visit Colorado this weekend, followed by Georgia (May 16), Clemson (May 30), and Florida (June 6). The in-state programs will get the final two visits. He will stop by Auburn on June 13 and will conclude his summer tour on June 19 at Alabama before announcing his commitment two weeks later.

Morgan is Alabama’s top recruit according to 247Sports and Rivals, and ranks as high as No. 2 nationally at the wide receiver position.
