Former LSU four-star wide receiver commit flipped to SMU on Saturday, according to On3’s Hayes Fawcett.
Anderson, a Louisiana native from New Orleans, had been committed to LSU since June 2024.
According to the On3 Industry Rankings, Anderson is the No. 342 overall ranked recruit in the class of 2026. He’s the No. 53-ranked wide receiver and No. 10 in the state of Louisiana. ESPN is the highest on Anderson, slotting him No. 209 overall.
Its rare to see a guy from Louisiana flip from LSU to SMU, but the Mustangs are gaining relevance near the top of college football after making the playoff in 2024 and continuing to build a strong NIL arsenal.
Anderson’s flip brings LSU’s 2026 class to nine recruits, but the Tigers’ class still owns the best average recruit rating, according to On3.
LSU remains in a great spot at wide receiver with Tristen Keys, the No. 1-ranked wide receiver in the class, committed to LSU. The Tigers also hold commitments from blue-chip wide receivers Jabari Mack and Kenny Darby.
