Notre Dame recently offered Kohen Brown, who has decommitted from USC

It shouldn’t be viewed as a coincidence that just days after Texas wide receiver Kohen Brown received a Notre Dame offer, that he had plenty to think about his future.

The 6-foot, and 190-pound pass catcher had committed to USC in early April, and on Friday he decided to reopen his recruitment and decommit from the Trojans. Brown is friend with recent Irish running back commit Javian Osborne, which also could have played a part in his decision. He was in attendance for Osborne’s commitment announcement, and his friend thinks that the Irish will ultimately land him.

Regardless of what specifics pushed him to decommit, it should be viewed as a big win for Notre Dame. Not only do they now have an opportunity to get Brown into their 2026 class, they also could be taking away a commitment from hated rival USC.
