Bergen Catholic cornerback Jordan Thomas will head to Ohio State after his senior season.
Thomas, rated as New Jersey’s No. 2 recruit in the Class of 2026 by 247Sports, announced his commitment to play for the defending national champions on Monday afternoon.
The West Orange native said he received offers from 50 different schools, but had limited his search to five finalists: Auburn, Ohio State, Michigan, Notre Dame and Texas A&M.
Thomas has been announced as a Navy All-American Bowl participant in 2026. His former Bergen Catholic teammate Quincy Porter, who will play for Ohio State this fall, played in the All-American Bowl last year.
Thomas has 100 career tackles in two seasons at Bergen Catholic as well as a forced fumble, a fumble recovery and five career interceptions.
Ohio State went 10-2 in the regular season last year before reeling off wins against Tennessee, Oregon, Texas and Notre Dame to win the first 12-team College Football Playoff.
