Just under a month after entering the college transfer portal and leaving Bowling Green State University before his first season, Lakota East graduate J.T. Kitna announced his new school.
Kitna, the son of Lakota East head coach and former Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Jon Kitna, announced on May 13 that he would be joining the program at Stephen F. Austin State University.
Kitna was an early enrollee at BGSU, but announced on April 16 that he was entering the transfer portal after a head coaching change at the school.
Kitna is the second quarterback to transfer to SFA in 2025, according to 247Sports, joining Tennessee transfer and former three-star quarterback Ryan Damron.
The SFA Lumberjacks are a Division I FCS program that competes in the Southland Conference with other schools in Texas and Louisiana.
