Vols’ football commitment receives five-star recruiting rating

A 2026 Tennessee football commitment received a positive bump in his recruiting rating.

Offensive tackle prospect Gabriel Osenda was upgraded from a four-star to a five-star by 247Sports on Wednesday. His player rating change makes Osenda Tennessee’s second five-star in its 2026 football recruiting class, joining quarterback Faizon Brandon.

The 6-foot-7, 330-pound prospect is an in-state commitment from Baylor School in Chattanooga, Tennessee. 247Sports now ranks Osenda as the No. 4 offensive tackle in the class and No. 2 player in Tennessee.

Tennessee first offered Osenda a scholarship on Feb. 26, 2024. He unofficially visited for the Florida, Alabama and Kentucky games in 2024.

Osenda committed to Tennessee on Jan. 11 over Florida, Georgia, Minnesota and South Carolina.

In addition to Osenda and Brandon, Tennessee has five more commitments in its 2026 football recruiting class: Wide receiver Tyreek King, tight end Carson Sneed, wide receiver Tyran Evans, linebacker Braylon Outlaw and defensive lineman C.J. Edwards.
