MSU’s Aidan Chiles listed as a top Big Ten QB in new rankings

Michigan State’s Aidan Chiles is listed as one of the top quarterbacks in the Big Ten

Michigan State starting quarterback Aidan Chiles is considered an upper half quarterback in the Big Ten, according to SleeperCFB.

SleeperCFB — an account that covers college football news, highlights and rumors — released their Big Ten quarterback rankings this week, and Chiles landed in the top half of the league. The site ranked Chiles as the No. 7 quarterback in the Big Ten, which was one spot behind Illinois’ Luke Altmyer and one spot ahead of Indiana’s Fernando Mendoza.

SleeperCFB ranked Drew Allar of Penn State as the league’s top quarterback — which I personally would agree with as well. Behind him were new starters Dante Moore (Oregon) and Julian Sayin (Ohio State).

Chiles is entering his second season as the Spartans’ starter after playing in all 12 games for Michigan State last year. He threw for 2,415 yards, 13 touchdowns and 11 interceptions, and ran for 225 yards and three touchdowns.

Chiles’ first season as the Spartans’ starter saw a lot of ups and downs, but the back half of the year we started to see some more consistency and elimination of key turnovers. Chiles will need to build off how he finished the 2024 season if he’s going to finish the 2025 season as one of the best quarterbacks in the Big Ten.
