Notre Dame football has made the state of Florida one of its recruiting focuses, and on Friday they again offered a prospect from the Sunshine State in Efrem White.
The 6-foot, 2-inch and 155-pound athlete has been committed to Florida State since late December of 2023, but that didn’t stop the Irish from showing their interest. Most likely Notre Dame likes White as a wide receiver according to On3’s Mike Singer, but he could end up playing on either side of the ball.
He’s ranked as the nation’s No. 207 overall prospect in the 247Sports Composite, and doesn’t just currently have an official visit only scheduled to see the Seminoles. Currently, White also has a visit to see North Carolina State in early June, and now with the Irish involved, the hope is that one will be made to South Bend in the near future.
Time will tell if White can be swayed away from his verbal to FSU, but it’s pretty clear that the Irish are doing their best to flip the elite athlete.
