4-star DB Chace Calicut names his final three schools

The Georgia Bulldogs are in the mix another defensive back in the class of 2026. Elite safety recruit Chase Calicut named his top three schools with Georgia making the list. He will choose among Georgia, Texas and Michigan.

Chase Calicut is a four-star safety and is a rising senior. He plays high school football for North Shore High School in Houston, Texas. He is the No. 161 prospect and 13th-ranked safety in the nation.

Calicut has not scheduled an official visit with Georgia yet, but he’s scheduled visits with four schools: Michigan, Texas, Washington, and Ole Miss. 247Sports predicts that he will commit to the Texas Longhorns.

Georgia has been busy on the safety recruiting market, landing four-stars Zech Fort and Jordan Smith, along with three-star Kealan Jones. In the winter, the Bulldogs stocked the defensive back room with tons of transfer talent. That includes former USC safety Zion Branch (to go along with his brother wide receiver Zachariah Branch), former Miami safety Jaden Harris, and former UAB safety Adrian Maddox. Sophomores KJ Bolden and Ellis Robinson are expected to be major starters, so Georgia’s secondary will need more top talent to replace them.
