Dan Lanning and the Oregon Ducks are working to make their moves in the recruiting world this offseason, and they’re quickly picking up some steam. After landing 5-star EDGE Richard Wesley earlier this month, the Ducks have kept momentum rolling forward.
On Wednesday, they got a big-time recruiting prediction to land a commitment from 4-star safety Davon Benjamin, one of the top players on their recruiting board. Benjamin, who stands at 6-foot, 170 pounds, is rated by the 247Sports Composite as the No. 37 player in the class and the No. 5 safety.
The prediction, which came from the 247Sports Staff, is at a confidence rating of 5, but it is the first prediction on the site for Benjamin. The Ducks are heavy favorites to land Benjamin according to On3, where they have a 95% lead in the RPM.
At the moment, Oregon has the No. 18 class in the 2026 cycle, but that is expected to improve in the near future, with guys like 5-star QB Ryder Lyons and 5-star OT Immanuel Iheanacho predicted to choose Oregon this summer.
