Penn State adds commitment from 3-star cornerback

Penn State’s recruiting heater continued into Thursday.

Continuing a string of recent commitments, the Nittany Lions earned a pledge from cornerback Jaziel Hart, who becomes the 17th member of the 2026 class.

Hart ranks as a 3-star recruit, per the 247Sports composite rankings, listed as the No. 44 cornerback and No. 547 overall recruit.

Hart stands at 5-foot-11 and 170 pounds and attends North Cross High School in Roanoke, Virginia, where he ranks as the No. 13 prospect in the state. He becomes the third Virginia native to join the group and fourth defensive back.

With his commitment, Penn State has passed Clemson and now holds the No. 4 recruiting class nationally and the No. 3 class in the Big Ten behind No. 1 USC and No. 3 Ohio State.

Though many dominoes have yet to fall in the class, the Nittany Lions are on pace for their best finish since since recruiting classes began being ranked in 2000.
