The Georgia Bulldogs are in a competitive position for a highly sought-after linebacker recruit Kenneth Goodwin III. The four-star linebacker prospect is from Bishop Montgomery High School in Torrance, California.
Goodwin III announced his top five schools with Georgia making the cut. The Bulldogs are vying for his commitment alongside Michigan, Oregon, SMU, and Texas A&M. Goodwin is expected to announce his final decision on July 1.
Georgia has hopes of a linebacker class featuring top recruits like Nick Abrams, Tyler Atkinson, Shadarius Toodle and Kenneth Goodwin. The rich getting richer once again. Georgia already possess one of the nation’s best linebacker groups, but that does not stop inside linebacker coach Glenn Schumann from signing a trio of top 10 linebacker in almost every recruiting cycle.
The biggest competitor in this recruiting battle will be Oregon because the Ducks have the final visit. Georgia and Oregon are part of another recruiting battle for high stakes recruits. The two schools previously battled for No. 1 quarterback Jared Curtis and now four-star linebacker Kennth Goodwin.
Goodwin has already completed one official visit to SMU in early May. He has three more visits lined up before he makes his decision, and a trip to Texas A&M is also likely. His schedule includes a visit to Georgia on June 6, followed by Michigan the next weekend, and then Oregon on June 20.
Goodwin III is ranked as the No. 16 linebacker in the country. He’s the No. 248 recruit in the nation and the No. 26 prospect in California.
